King
is a true regal Burmese.
King
carries blue. He is the son of our beautiful chocolate
boy Grand Champion Typha Qweens Nighte. “Nightie”
died tragically a short while after getting his first
UK Grand. He ate some bedding and then choked on it.
We were heartbroken, we loved him so much. Our good
friend Gill Allen had just had a litter from Nighte
and let us have King to keep his father’s memory
going. What a marvellous job he has made of it. He is
a real chip off the old block – soft, loving and
beautiful, as are his kittens. Thank you Gill.
We
and King are justifiably very proud of his beautiful
lilac tortie daughter, Champion Typha Warriorprincess,
out of Typha Really Scrumptious, who from the start
had a breath-taking career on the show bench, culminating
in winning the Supreme Kitten award for 2007. Princess
then left the show bench to have a litter of kittens.
She is now back and has become a Champion in three straight
shows. Thank you Freddie for looking after her so well.
We will keep you posted.

Prince
is a most delightful gentle affectionate cat, just like
his father, King, and grandfather, Nightie - a lovely
trait that is passing through the generations and on
to his kittens. We were delighted with his show career,
winning three CCs consecutively and making him into
a champion at just one year old.
He has lovely type with medium-to-small ears, short,
broad wedge, excellent profile with strong nose break
and firm chin, the whole look enhanced by lovely expressive,
strong, clear, yellow eye colour. His coat is 'to die
for' with a lovely blue short close-lying shiny texture
and correct silvering on the extremities. We are delighted
with him. We had hoped to keep a brown boy from King,
but Prince was too good to pass up and his kittens are
fulfilling the promise that we hoped for.

Buffy
really is a Buffoon. He doesn’t use his legs very
often – he prefers to lie down in silly poses
and purr. He is a good sized cat with a very nice typy
head and strong yellow eye colour which he passes on
to his kittens. Again he has a warm pink caste to his
coat and his chocolate and lilac kittens are very pale
and even. He wasn’t originally going to be a stud
(hence the silly name) but his father Typha Hawaiin
Breeze had failing kidneys so we decided to keep Buffy
instead. We tried to change his name but weren’t
allowed to. In hindsight that is a good thing, because
the posh name we had chosen wouldn’t have suited
his personality at all!
One
particular kitten of his that we are especially proud
of is Ch Typha Daisychain, out
of Typha Jeuwell; a beautiful little lilac girl, who
was overall Best Burmese in Show and Best Pedigree Kitten
in Show at the National Cat Club Show at Olympia in
2007. We went on to show Daisy in 2008 as an adult and
she has become a Champion at one year and three days,
in three straight shows against some very stiff competition.
We are justly very proud of her and her “in-house”
fun name is "Superstar"!
We must also mention Daisys younger, beautiful
brother, Premier Typha Faberge, who has emulated his
sisters show career by becoming a Premier in three
straight shows at just over 10 months old, winning BOB
on all three occasions.

Chatty
is one of our younger Burmese boys but it hasn’t
taken him long to learn the ropes and he is a sweet
caring stud, who incidentally “chats” to
his girls all the time. He is another one without any
legs and collapses in a purring heap the moment you
look at him. He has a clear blue short silky coat and
a good tail. As you can see from his photos he has nice
Burmese type and a lovely gentle expression. His kittens
have been delightful and most people who have litters
from him have found it irresistible not to keep one.
We have!
