THE CROYDON CAT CLUB SHOW - 13th FEBRUARY 2010

Congratulations to the Croydon team on a very well-run show. I had a lovely variety of beautiful cats to judge, ably helped by my very efficient steward, Jo Hudson, who was also a great companion for the day. I do hope we can do it again, Jo, and that you enjoyed your day as much as I did.

AV ANY OTHER FOREIGN CHAMPION (GR CH) MALE (1 Present)

1.GR CH. HEDGES' GR CH KALUKIKATZ AMARILLO (76 30) M Born 1.3.05.
Large, substantial, older lad with a delightful personality and very chatty. Muscular body with powerful shoulders and rounded chest and very strong muscular limbs. Thick ringed tail held low, with black tip. Plush coat with small random two-toned spots. Would prefer more contrast to background, but acceptable for his age. Head slightly longer than broad with good rounding to top of head. Ears well placed. Pale green expressive eyes. Wedge slightly narrow at whisker pads. Profile shows slight dip to nose and shallow but firm chin.

What a lovely class of girls - it was not an easy decision to make - I just wish I had more awards!

1. GR CH. McCARTEM'S CH AGAPIMOU BLACK PANDORA (72) F Born 27.3.08
A lovely stylish girl with a classic Bombay coat, close lying, soft, very shiny and absolutely solid to the roots. She just gleamed as though she had been oiled. Well muscled but elegant body with straight back, slender limbs and oval paws. Good tail for shape and balance. Very good balance to short, wide, wedge with slightly rounded top of head, with medium to large well set ears slightly tilted forward. Widely spaced clear, deep, yellowy-gold eyes. Blunt end to muzzle. Profile shows very good nose break with straight nose and deep level chin. Super temperament.

RES. GR. CH. CASE'S CH TARJJIKA SKYLARK (74at) F. Born 13.7.05
Long bodied substantial girl with muscular feel. Darkish blue tones on ears, mask, legs and feet, shading to lighter colour on body. Well defined tabby markings on legs and tail, which tapers well. Head showing more tabby evidence with lovely pale spectacles around beautifully set expressive bluish green eyes. Top of head slightly rounded with ears slightly taller than wide and pricked forward with broad base and oval tips. Lovely balanced muzzle with slight whisker pinch. Profile shows slight nose break and firm level chin. A very attractive exhibit and unlucky to meet winner today.

TONKINESE ADULT MALE OPEN (1 Present)

1. DURDEN'S ELPIDOS TABBY TIGER (74nt) M Born 28.4.08
Large well grown boy with a strong caramel influence on his coat. Correct shading on ears, mask, legs and feet. Tabby showing clearly on legs and tail. Gentle rounding to top of head with well placed ears, slightly taller than wide. Eyes bluey green of lovely shape and set. Slight whisker pinch. Unfortunately side view of head showed nose a little too long for balance with bump. Also chin shallow and receding.
Sorry to have withheld the CC but I just felt there were too many facial issues at the moment.

ASIAN SMOKE OR BURMILLA KITTEN MALE OPEN (2 Present)

1 & BOB. SELLMAN'S KIMANI CHAMPAGNE SUPERNOVA (72 43sq) Born 9.8.09.
Well grown for age with muscular balanced body with tabby on legs and correct ringed tail with darker tip. He is going to be a big boy judging by the size of his feet! Medium shading on back, colour extending about half way down hair shaft producing a darker spine line and top of tail. This mantle reducing down sides to pristine silver tummy. No tarnishing evident. Darker hocks. Lovely type to head with good width to slightly rounded top. Widely spaced ears of correct shape and set. Strong scarab on head. Very expressive greeny yellow eyes of lovely shape and set with mascara rims. Short balanced muzzle. Good nose break and level chin. Pink nose leather. Very promising lad.

2. CROW & GOSS' KAGURA MERIADOC (72 43nsq) Born 9.9.09.
Adorable little lad full of personality. Muscular medium-sized body with slender limbs and oval paws. Tabby tail of good shape and length with darker tip. Tabby also on legs with darker hocks and faint necklace. Slightly long and kittenish at the moment, but very soft coat with light colouring extending one third of the way down the hair shaft and reducing to 100% silver on his underside. Head shows pencilling on cheeks and pale spectacles around expressive greenish eyes. Good width to top of slightly rounded dome with medium to large ears slightly tilted forward. Slight teething pinch at the moment, but has short blunt end to muzzle. Profile shows good nose break and firm deep chin. Another promising kitten.

1. FRANCIS' STILEWAY KASABION (72 43hsq) Born 17.8.09.
Very pretty girl with chocolate tortie markings on head and faint ones on body. Good muscular feel to body with slender legs and dainty oval paws. Tail balances. Silver very evident in the coat with just a wash of chocolate along the back and top of tail, reducing very quickly to pure silver on tummy. Good width to top of head with well set ears with forward tilt. Broad brow. Widely set large very expressive golden eyes with mascara rims. Pink nose leather. Very good nose break and firm level chin. Wedge just a little narrow at the jaw hinge at present.

BOB. McCARTEN'S PR AGAPIMOU BLACK ARCHIMEDES (72) MN Born 27.3.08.
A large muscular well grown boy with proportionate limbs and tail. Lovely rounding to chest and good strong depth to skull. I have just seen that he is the brother of the girl I awarded the Grand Certificate to and I am not surprised. He has the same totally solid coat and beautiful shiny close texture that she has. Congratulations to their breeder on this achievement.

Very good texture to shiny close lying clearly defined glittered soft coat with black/brown doughnut rosettes on a pale gold background. Very busy pattern on flanks and shoulders and spots on feet. Strong necklaces. Head slightly longer than wide with well set ears slightly tilted forward. Green expressive eyes widely set alongside broad even nose, but would prefer slightly more whisker pads. Profile shows slight dip to nose and pale level chin.

2. GALE-BROWN'S KATAYANI DON-JUAN Born 10.5.09.
Young stylish well-grown lad with muscular body, sturdy limbs and thick tail carried low. Large rounded paws. Soft texture to glittered vibrant coloured coat with large well defined brown doughnut rosettes on a pale gold background. Excellent busy clear markings on flanks and shoulders. Head slightly longer than wide with good
Width to top of head. Ears set well apart with forward tilt. Pencilling on cheeks. Green expressive eyes with yellow ring. Broad even nose and strong whisker pads with pale chin. Profile shows gently slope to nose and chin that unfortunately recedes slightly. Ran winner very close.

Deceptively heavy young lady feeling very muscular and fit. Correct limbs and paws. Tail balances. Glittered coat showing reasonable contrast between well-spaced spots and background. Barring on legs and rings on tail with black tip. Head slightly longer than wide with well spaced ears. Brow a little flat. Greeny yellow expressive eyes with pale spectacles. Even nose. Pale whisker pads. Profile shows gentle slope to nose and level chin.

Strong muscular boy with dark even lilac coat and balanced tail. Coat a little open when I judged him, Limbs sturdy but elegant and neat oval paws. Good rounding to strong chest. Lovely width to short balanced wedge with well spaced ears slightly tilted forward. Small indent in skull which I showed to the Duty Vet. Broad brow. Pale yellow widely spaced eyes of good shape and set. Short, blunt, balanced muzzle. Profile shows good nose break and shallow but firm chin. Sweet cat.

Dainty young girl much heavier than she looks with slender limbs and oval paws. Coat just a fraction long but lies well and is an even pale lilac colour. Very good tail for shape and length. Head slightly flat on top with well set ears, but rounds out above large yellow expressive eyes of very good shape and set. Short blunt end to balanced muzzle. Profile shows good nose break and shallow but level chin.

Good weight for age. Muscular body and correct tail for balance. Warm brown soft coat, shiny and lying well. Nice Burmese head with good width to top. Well set medium ears. Rounded brow above yellow eyes of good shape and set. Blunt end to balanced muzzle. Profile shows good nose break but slight bump on nose which rolls off a fraction at the tip. Deep level chin. Bite slightly overshot at present, but this could be teething. Sweet temperament

Dainty little girl. Very cuddly and self-possessed! Lovely balance to muscular medium length body with back straight from shoulder to rump. Slender legs and small oval paws. Balanced tail. Mid brown shiny close lying coat. Short Burmese wedge with good width to slightly rounded top of head. Broad brow. Eye set good, colour changing. Blunt end to balanced muzzle. Profile shows good nose break, straight nose which drops down very slightly and deep level chin. Very promising.

2. HANFORD'S RUSELLA MAHOGANY PRINZESS Born 19.9.09
Heavy girl for her age. Correct legs, paws and tail. Warm brown slightly long coat, but lies well. Head not quite balanced yet - needs to grow into her ears. Widely spaced eyes of strong yellow colour. Muzzle just a fraction long and fine at present (teething?). Profile shows good nose break with bump on nose and rolling off at leather. Strong level chin. Sweet kitten that needs to mature a little.

Deceptively heavy and very muscular - a real wriggler! Rounded chest, strong legs, oval paws and very good tail for shape and length. Dark but warm brown shiny coat, very well presented. Good width to top of head with well set ears, though top is just a little flat, as is brow. Widely spaced expressive pale yellow eyes of very good shape and set. Muzzle a little fine and long for balance. Profile shows fair nose break, slight bump on nose and level deep chin.

Profile shows very good nose break, straight nose and deep level chin.

THE BENGAL CAT CLUB SHOW - 25th July 2009

Once again our thanks to Elaine, John & Lisa for giving us such a special show. The atmosphere was so friendly and everything was so well organised. Each year they manage to give it that special something - it is a show to look forward to. Many thanks again to Helen Hardwick for stewarding for me. I do enjoy her company and can totally relax knowing that she has everything under control.

GRAND CLASS - PREMIER BENGAL NEUTER MALE OPEN (1 Present)

1: GR PR EGAN'S GR CH & IGR PR ZAWADI SHAMWARI 76 30 (26.06.06).
Only one present, but a worthy winner. Large, gentle boy with well-muscled body, long, sturdy legs and large, round paws. Tail, with black tip, balances body. Nicely glittered soft plush coat. Lines running over coat merging in with broken spine line. Good spots but would prefer a little more contrast with background, but still very acceptable. Well spotted tummy. Head slightly longer than wide with medium to large well-spaced ears. Profile shows gentle slope to broad, even nose and deep, level chin. Green well-spaced eyes with pale spectacles. Blunt end to balanced muzzle displaying very good whisker pads. Superb temperament. In fact, I was so impressed with his temperament I gave him my Judge's Special Rosette.

GRAND CLASS - PREMIER BENGAL NEUTER FEMALE OPEN (2 Present)

Large well-grown muscular lady with presence. Straight back, strong limbs and large paws. Substantial tail with black tip which balances body well. Plush silky close-lying coat with glitter. Good contrast with two-tone brown/sorrel spots and arrowhead with pale gold background. Head slightly longer than wide with large to medium ears of very good shape and set. Widely-spaced round to oval green nocturnal eyes with pale spectacles, giving lovely wild look to head. Well-formed muzzle showing very pronounced whisker pads. Broad even nose with gentle slope in profile. Level, slightly shallow chin. Lovely self-possessed young girl.

2: RES GR PR GOODGER'S GR PR WELLMAR ARAPAHOKIOWA 76a30 (15.03.02)
Lovely mature girl with substantial muscular body, strong limbs, rounded chest and correct tail with rings and dark tip. Dark spots on a plush glittered background showing very good contrast for her age. Head slightly longer than wide with medium well-set ears wide at the base with slight forward tilt. Strong blue colour to well-spaced eyes with pale spectacles. Clear pencilling on cheeks. Broad nose and good balance to muzzle with excellent whisker pads. Profile shows tiny bump on nose and strong level chin. A delightful cat with all the aplomb of a real professional.

SILVER KITTEN ASSESSMENT (2 Present)

NO MERIT: AHMED'S KARSUKA TATYANA F 76 30S (05.12.08)
Overall impression: - slightly unusual colour for a silver, leans towards the snow coat colour.
Head, inc Ears: Good width to top. "M" on forehead. Ears medium, well-set. Muzzle a little fine and pointed, needs to develop some whisker pads. Broad nose with slight dip in profile. shallow chin.
Eyes: Green, widely-spaced and expressive.
Body, inc Legs & Feet: Muscular feel with straight back, sturdy limbs and rounded paws.
Tail: A little bony. Tip not solid black.
Coat: Soft and slightly long.
Colour/Pattern: Pale charcoal spots with some rosettes forming. Also two-toned arrowheads. Spots on paws.
Temperament & Condition: Sweet nature, well presented.
General Remarks: Unfortunately she has a fixed deviation of the sternum, as confirmed by the Duty Vet, so I was unable to award her a merit.

MERIT: HUNTER'S SUPERNOVA ANGEL OF TALLICA F 70 30s (17.01.09)
Overall impression: - Very attractive kitten.
Head, inc Ears: Head slightly small for body. Medium ears, broad, even nose with gentle slope to profile. Chin just a little shallow. Whisker pads forming. Just a hint of tarnish on the muzzle.
Eyes: Golden, widely-spaced and expressive
Body, inc Legs & Feet: Muscular body, strong limbs and rounded paws.
Tail: Very good tail for shape and length with black tip and rings.
Coat: Soft and plush - close-lying with diamond glitter
Colour/Pattern: Black clearly-defined spots and arrowheads. Some vertical alignment. Spots on paws. Excellent silvering to background coat. Wide unbroken spine line.
Temperament & Condition: Lovely condition
General Remarks: Grumbles, but harmless!

Eyes: Pale green widely-spaced and expressive.
Body, inc Legs & Feet: Well-muscled strong lad with sturdy legs and rounded paws.
Tail: Good length and shape with dark tip - balances body.
Coat: Excellent texture, plush and silky with diamond glitter
Colour/Pattern: Very striking with dense, large, black spots and excellent silver background, showing amazing contrast.
Temperament & Condition: Excellent condition
General Remarks: A really lovely example of a Silver Bengal.

Very broad, even nose showing gentle slope in profile. Medium/small correct ears. Well-spaced greenish yellow, oval eyes. Good whisker pads forming. Promising lad.

2: HERKES' ZAWADI MATRIX
Rangy but muscular lad with straight back, sturdy legs and rounded paws. Tail balances body well. Lovely soft, dense, well-presented glittered coat with clear buff background and two-toned rosettes and arrowheads. Head slightly longer than wide with medium well-set ears. Green well-spaced eyes of oval shape with pale spectacles. Muzzle just a fraction fine, but good whisker pads forming. Sweet cat.

Sexy little girl - very friendly and calling! Long body with rounded chest and correct limbs. Balanced tail. I was delighted to have the privilege of judging this class. When we took on Gwenda's cats to find them homes they were mainly elderly much-loved neuters. I therefore chose the winner of this very special class as I felt she would have liked. The choice was Goodger's Snow Female Neuter Gr. Pr. Wellmar Arapahokiowa, a much-loved seven-year-old.

BURMESE CAT CLUB SHOW - 27th June 2009

Congratulations to Steve and Linda, ably helped by their partners, Tommy and Alan, on a most enjoyable and well-organised show. It was lovely the way everyone joined in with the spirit of the theme "Hawaii" and the colourful outfits, garlands and flowers gave the whole show a special festive atmosphere. My thanks to my friend, Gill Allen, for stewarding for me. As usual she handled the exhibits with love and me with care!!

Very large heavy lad, not terribly happy, but harmless. Well rounded chest, strong limbs and oval paws. Very good tail for shape and length. Sound deep rich tangerine colour to well-presented coat, slightly long on back but lies well. Short broad wedge with rounded top of head. Good width between medium-sized ears of correct shape and set. Broad brow. Widely spaced large expressive golden eyes of very good shape and set. Blunt end to short muzzle. Very strong red facial markings. Profile shows very good nose break, short nose and level chin.

Lovely temperament. Nuzzled us to death, and never stopped purring! Elegant but muscular body feeling firm and fit and much heavier than he looked. Limbs and tail also long and elegant and matching body. Lovely pale even clear cream short shiny coat displaying some powdering on ears and extremities. Short broad wedge. Slightly flattened top of head. Good width between ears of correct shape and set. Wide brow. Expressive golden eyes of very good set and shape. Profile shows good nose break and straight nose. Chin just recedes a fraction. Ran winner very close.

This really was a fantastic class. Four beautiful cats all worthy of the award and amazingly all over nine years old.

Well-padded plump lady but still feeling muscular with balanced body and rounded chest.
Limbs elegant and paws oval. Tail fraction thick at base. Coat soft, shiny and well presented. Short broad rounded wedge. What a beautiful "naughty" Burmese look - I love it. Good width between medium ears with rounded tips and broad at the base. Brow rounds out above widely-spaced large expressive yellow eyes of very good shape and set. Short balanced muzzle. Profile shows good nose break and deep level chin. I see she went on to get Best
Neuter in Show which was well deserved. Congratulations to both her owner and breeder.

Solid well-built girl with rounded chest, slender limbs and oval paws. Good tail for shape and length with paint brush end. Soft well-presented tortie coat with subtle blending of blue and cream. Broad short wedge with very good ears for shape and set with rounded tips. Broad brow. Expressive opalescent eyes of correct shape and set. Short blunt even muzzle. Profile shows very good nose break, tiny bump on nose, and deep level chin. Superb laid-back temperament.

Delightful young lad, body still maturing. Long rangy muscular look, with straight back, long limbs and oval paws. Tail just long enough. Soft shiny pale lilac coat, close lying and well presented. Top of head slightly rounded. Well-set medium to large ears, wide at the base with rounded tips. Broad brow which is just a fraction flat, but rounds out above pale yellow, expressive eyes. Good nose break, straight nose and shallow chin which recedes very slightly. Sweet temperament.

Golden yellow widely spaced very expressive eyes of correct shape and set. Blunt balanced muzzle. Profile shows good depth to skull, good nose break, straight nose and level chin. A very stylish exhibit.
2. TARBUCK'S CH MOLYROSSI STARBUCK (18.9.07)
Well-grown muscular "plump" young lady with slender limbs and oval paws. Correct tail for balance. Very soft pale lilac even coat beautifully presented. Short wedge with broad top of head. Medium to large ears with rounded tips. Broad brow. Very large expressive yellow eyes of lovely shape and set. Blunt end to balanced muzzle. Profile shows very good nose break almost straight nose with the end just a fraction flattened and shallow but level chin. Just a little bit grumpy, but nothing serious.
3. YARDLEY'S PAPAGENA YANA YARDLEY (1.9.08)
Well-muscled elegant young lady, very much on call at present. Slender limbs and super spoon-shaped paws. Good tail for shape and length. Lovely texture to soft close-lying lilac coat with pink caste. Medium/short wedge with well spaced ears with rounded tips. Brow just a little flat but rounds out above yellow expressive eyes looking rather sore when I judged her.
Slight muzzle pinch but blunt end. Profile shows acceptable nose break, straight nose and shallow but firm chin,.

Good-sized weighty girl, very confident for age. Well-muscled body, elegant limbs and oval paws. Lovely tail for shape and length with paint-brush end. Soft, well-presented, slightly-long coat with subtle mingling of cream and lilac colours. Medium wedge with slightly flat top of head. Ears medium to large at present. Broad flat brow, but rounds out above widely spaced muddy expressive eyes of very good shape and set. Muzzle a little long at present. Profile shows acceptable nose break, straight nose and level chin. Sweet little girl.

Elegant young lady feeling much more solid than she looked. Lovely balance to muscular body, straight back, rounded chest and elegant limbs. Balanced tail. Soft shiny texture to very well presented tortie coat. Medium length to head with medium/large well spaced ears between slightly rounded top of head. Slight rounding to broad brow. Well spaced golden yellow expressive eyes of very good shape and set. Slight teething pinch at present which makes muzzle a little too long for balance. Profile shows adequate nose break, flattened end to nose and shallow chin. Another delightful exhibit and very little to chose between her and the younger lilac tortie.

Once again the Somerset "team" gave us a very well run, happy show and that, coupled with the excellent hospitality, made it a first class weekend. My thanks to Emma Matthews who gallantly stepped in on the day to steward for me. What an unexpected bonus that was and I thoroughly enjoyed her company and competence. and hopefully look forward to the next time we can work together.

Head slightly longer than wide with well spaced ears slightly tilted forward. "M" on forehead and pencilling on cheeks. Sorry I was not able to give the reserve award to this boy. He was a large rangy boy with a lovely temperament, but just not in show condition when I judged him. Thin at the flanks and open coated with dark patches in his lilac coat. Good tail balancing body. Broad balanced wedge with slightly flattened top of head. Flat brow, rounding out above well spaced pale yellow eyes of correct shape and set. Adequate nose break. In profile chin recedes very slightly. Unfortunately he left his sparkle at home today.

Tail of good shape with super paint brush end, just balances. Lovely soft silky texture to pale lilac coat with pink caste. Short broad balanced wedge with rounded top to head. Good width between medium sized ears with forward tilt and rounded tips. Broad rounded brow. Widely spaced correctly set large expressive yellow eyes of very good shape. Blunt end to balanced muzzle. Profile showed good nose break and level chin. Her delightful temperament was the icing on the cake!

Another very nice girl, a little older at five years, but elegant and muscular and in excellent condition for her age. Straight back, correct limbs and spoon shaped paws. Correct tail. Lovely texture to close lying shiny rich brown coat. Medium wedge with slightly rounded top of head. Medium to large ears well tilted forward. Rounded brow. Large well spaced expressive yellow eyes of very good shape and set. Balanced muzzle. Profile showed very good nose break, tiny bump on nose and deep level chin. Sweet temperament. Ran winner very close, but had lost some hair around her eyes which for me slightly distracted from her looks.

This girl is amazing. She is still beating the young up and coming - even at seven years old. She just seems to get better and better - I wish I knew her secret! Apart from generally just being a very good example of the breed, she has certain assets which stand out. Large clearly defined spots and arrowheads, a broken spine line, vivid green round to oval eyes and lovely puffed whisker pads above a firm level chin - to mention a few.

Well muscled lad in excellent condition. Straight back and rounded chest. Slender limbs with oval paws. Tail of very good length, tapering slightly towards the tip. Coat shows darker spine line, colour going one third of the way down the hair shaft reducing to paler undersides. Faint bars on legs. "M" on forehead and paler spectacles around strong yellow eyes which although well set apart were just slightly deep set. Medium wedge, not quite balancing as muzzle a fraction long and fine at present. Profile showed good nose break, slight bump on nose and level chin of medium depth. Sweet lad.

ASIAN SMOKE OR BURMILLA KITTEN FEMALE OPEN(1 Present)

A very attractive looking kitten with a heavier body than I expected as she looked so elegant.
Correct limbs and tail. Lovely sheen to short close lying coat with darker blue line along back to tip of tail, this darker mantle of colour reducing down flanks to a pristine silver tummy. Darker pigmentation also on hocks and a faint broken necklace. Lovely head showing broad short wedge with medium to large ears with thumb prints on backs, ears slightly tilted forward with rounded tips. Broad brow. Slight pencilling on cheeks and "M" on forehead. Widely spaced deep gold large expressive eyes with pale spectacles. Short balanced muzzle. Profile showed good nose break, short straight nose and level chin. Lovely temperament.

TONKINESE KITTEN OPEN (2 Present)

A delightful little girl of medium build and foreign type. A lovely firm muscular body well proportioned. Limbs balanced body beautifully. Tail tapering of medium length, slightly bony at present. Very good coat, close lying and short with subtle toning of darker colour from the extremities. Top of head showed good rounding. Muzzle just a little long at present showing very slight whisker pinch, but I feel this was due to immaturity rather than a fault. Bluish /green large expressive eyes of very good shape and set Profile showed slight nose break and level chin. I would like to see her again when she is a little more mature.

2. BERNARD'S MIMAPERKS SOLITAIRE F (74e) born 08.09.08

Very rangy young lady looking a little too Oriental for the standard at present. Long muscular body with long elegant legs and tail to match. Short close lying very well mingled silky coat showing just a touch of the Tonkinese coat pattern with darker markings on the head and darker shading on the legs. Head is not typical, with ears too big and top of head flat Good expressive greenish/blue eyes of good shape and set, although I was concerned about her having a slight squint.. Profile showed very little nose break and nose runninf on making chin set back. This girl had the most delightful temperament and is obviously a much loved pet.

Widely spaced green expressive eyes , oval in shape with pale spectacles. Broad even nose and quite good whisker pads. Pale chin. Profile shows slight dip to nose and firm even chin.

Strong green widely spaced large expressive eyes of very good shape and set. Broad even nose culminating in paler well puffed whisker pads. Profile shows slight slope to nose and strong level chin.

A very large girl with a super temperament - just as well I could never have lifted her if she hadn't wanted me to! Another very nice exhibit shown in lovely condition. Markings just a little symmetrical. Rich mahogany background showing lovely glitter on paws. Head slightly longer than wide with good width to top. Ears medium to large slightly tilted forward. Well spaced green eyes between thick even nose. Top line just a little straight. Beautiful strong puffed whisker pads and deep chin. Looking at her profile I would prefer a little less break in her nose, which for me detracts from the desired wild look, but none the less, a lovely exhibit who didn't stop purring.

It was hard to believe this girl was over seven years old she was in such good condition.
Strong muscular body with excellent conformation. Rounded chest, straight back, sturdy limbs and rounded paws. Very good tail with dark tip. Lovely texture to soft glittered plush coat showing very good contrast between the ivory background and well defined black spots. Head slightly longer than wide with a lovely "non-domestic" look, helped by medium to small ears very well set and a broad even nose, culminating in large pronounced whisker pads. Pale green colour to well spaced round to oval eyes with paler spectacles and pencilling on cheeks. Profile showed an acceptable dip in nose and a deep level chin. A very confident girl who showed herself off beautifully.

Well grown for age with body muscling up well. Correct limbs and tail. Soft subtle shading to close lying shiny tortie coat. Wedge just a little out of balance at the moment. Top of head had good width but rather flat. Ears medium to large and she needs to grow into them. Good blunt end to muzzle. Profile shows adequate nose break, straight nose shallow but firm chin.

Even warm chocolate colour to soft silky coat, mask and tail slightly darker but blend in very well. Coat shiny and beautifully presented, just a fraction long but lies well. Not very sound. Broad wedge with good width to top of slightly rounded head. Medium ears of good shape , slightly tilted forward. Blunt balanced wedge. Widely spaced slightly green eyes of correct shape and set. Profile shows good nose break, short straight nose and deep level chin. Bite untidy but level. Sweet gentle relaxed boy.

Good rounding to top of head, broad brow. Widely spaced pale eyes of very good shape and set. Short blunt end to muzzle. Good nose break, straight nose and medium depth to level chin. Lovely "naughty" expression which is so typical of a really typy Burmese. So lovely to see it.

Head slightly longer than wide with medium to large ears, broad at the base and tilted forward. Widely spaced oval to round golden eyes with pale spectacles. Nose of even width, in profile showing gentle slope. Good whisker pads and level chin. Lovely temperament.

Another boy with deceptive weight, feeling heavier than he looked. Long bodied and muscular with strong legs, rounded paws and tail well ringed with black tip, feeling slightly bony. Short silky coat, just a fraction greasy in places when I judged him. Clearly defined black/brown spots and arrowheads with very good space in between. Lovely glitter to clear gold background. Well broken spine line and also well defined spots on flanks. Two full necklaces and broken chin strap. Head slightly longer than wide with "M" on forehead and clear pencilling on cheeks. Medium to large well set ears. Yellow eyes, with pale spectacles slightly domestic in shape. Nose a little narrow at present. Good whisker pads and pale chin set back just a fraction. Sweet lad, playful and purring.

3. WALKER'S GAYLEE SUNGOLD PHEONIX - born 04.11.07

Although just the eldest in the class, this lad needs to mature and had a very adolescent look about him. Body looking rather rangy although felt quite heavy and muscular when picked up. Limbs long and paws rounded. Tail long and a bit whippy at present. . Glittered warm coat showing rufus, but not too much contrast between small spots and background. Vertical alignment behind shoulder on right hand side. Spots on paws. Two strong necklaces. Head slightly longer than wide, with "M" on forehead and pencilling on cheeks. Ears of medium size, rather pointed and narrow at the base. Green well spaced oval eyes with pale spectacles. Muzzle rather fine and needs to develop more whisker pads. Profile showed almost straight nose and chin that recedes very slightly.

I was a little uncertain about her coat being glittered as it looked slightly ticked in the hall light, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Lovely spotty tummy and very spotty feet. Well broken spine line. Broken but well defined chin strap and strong necklaces. Head slightly longer than broad with pencilling on cheeks and "M" on forehead with clear vertical lines emanating from it continuing over the head to the shoulders. Medium ears set forward. Deep yellow well spaced oval to round eyes with pale spectacles. Even width to nose. Muzzle just a fraction pointed but good whisker pads forming. Good profile with slight dip to nose and level chin.

Head shows very good type with slightly rounded top. Well spaced ears, medium to large with forward tilt and wide at the base. Broad brow. Lovely deep gold widely spaced expressive eyes of correct shape and set. Good nose break with straight nose and level but shallow chin. Short blunt muzzle. A very nice exhibit.

Good whisker pads for age. Profile shows gentle dip to nose and deep chin which drops back just a fraction at present. Promising.

Muscular and well grown for age with correct limbs, rounded paws and tail that is a little whippy at present. Well developed spot pattern for age with good contrast. Another promising kitten and ran winner very close.

3. BOIZARD-NEIL'S BAMBINO PAINTED LADY - born 9.10.08.

Attractive little girl, but not having quite the same style as the first two kittens at present. Medium muscular body, medium length legs and rounded paws. Tail balances. Pale grey background to large and well spaced two toned spots. Head slightly longer than wide with yellow round to oval well spaced eyes with pale spectacles. Profile shows gentle slope to nose and level chin.

Body muscular and well balanced with sturdy legs and rounded paws. Well ringed tail with dark tip and balances body. Coat well silvered and glittered, soft and silky to the touch. Broken spine line and spots on legs. Black well defined spots, but also some arrowheads forming. Very good temperament.
